Airport-to-Land Coordination
Support for cargo moving from airport terminals to ground transportation partners, with clear handover and routing guidance.
Most air cargo does not start or end at the airport. It leaves a warehouse, a plant or a store, and it is needed at another one. Airport-to-land coordination covers the ground legs that connect the flight to those addresses, so the whole move is planned as one shipment.
We arrange the truck legs through licensed motor carriers and line them up with the flight: pickup timed for the origin airport's cut-off, and recovery from the destination cargo terminal once the airline releases the cargo.
Before the flight: pickup to the origin terminal
Cargo has to reach the airline's cargo terminal, screened and with its paperwork in order, before the cut-off for the flight. We schedule the pickup from your dock with that cut-off in mind and tell you the window when the truck will arrive.
Let us know about loading conditions in advance: whether you have a dock or need a liftgate, any appointment requirement at your facility, and whether the pieces are on pallets or loose.
After the flight: recovery and delivery
At the destination, the cargo is recovered from the airline's terminal once it is available for pickup and then delivered to the consignee. If the delivery address has receiving hours or needs an appointment, include them in the request so the delivery can be booked to fit.
Each handover between air and ground is a point where details matter: piece count, references and the condition of the packaging. Clear labels and an accurate piece count make every handover faster.
Only the legs you need
Some shippers have their own trucking for one end of the move. Tell us in the request which legs you need: pickup, the flight, delivery, or any combination. If your own carrier is collecting at the destination, we share the recovery details they need.

How a request works
- Step 1
Send the details
Use the quote form: origin and destination, the cargo, its pieces with dimensions and weight, and the date it is ready.
- Step 2
Get a reference
You get a written reference number as soon as the request is in.
- Step 3
A coordinator reviews it
A coordinator reviews every request. Response time: Business hours: within 30 minutes · After hours: within 60 minutes.
- Step 4
Choose an option
We share the options available for your cargo and dates, with what each one includes, and set up the shipment you choose.
What to send us
- Origin and destination: airports, or full addresses if you need pickup or delivery
- Number of pieces, and whether they are loose cartons, crates or pallets
- Length, width, height and weight of each piece
- What the cargo is, and whether it is high-value
- The date the cargo is ready, and any delivery deadline
- Loading details: dock or liftgate, appointments, receiving hours
Air freight is priced on chargeable weight, so dimensions matter as much as weight.
Work out the chargeable weightDangerous goods
Some cargo is regulated as dangerous goods in air transport. The quote form asks whether your shipment contains any of these:
- Lithium or sodium batteries (alone, installed, or packed with equipment)
- Fuel, aerosols, compressed gas, or chemicals
- Magnetized material
- Dry ice
Any yes, or "Not sure", sends the request to a coordinator for review before we confirm options. Undeclared dangerous goods can be refused or delayed.
