Cargo Terminal Support

Assistance with air cargo terminal coordination, shipment details, and route planning across major U.S. airports.

Every air cargo shipment passes through an airline's cargo terminal at both ends. That is where cargo is accepted, screened, built onto pallets or into containers, and later released to the party collecting it. Each terminal has its own hours, acceptance rules and paperwork.

We help shippers and forwarders get those details right, so the cargo is accepted the first time and released without delay. Air2Land does not own, operate or staff any airport facility; we coordinate with the terminals that handle your shipment.

Acceptance at the origin terminal

Cargo is security-screened before it flies, and it must arrive at the terminal before the cut-off for its flight. The terminal checks the piece count, the weights and dimensions, the labels and the paperwork against the booking. Differences cause delays, so the details in your quote request carry through to the booking.

Very large or heavy pieces need extra planning. Aircraft doors, pallet and container sizes, and floor-loading limits all set what can fly on which aircraft, so tell us about oversized pieces when you ask for a quote.

Release at the destination terminal

Once the flight arrives and the cargo is processed, the terminal releases it to the party collecting it, usually a truck we have arranged or your own carrier. Storage charges can apply if cargo is left at the terminal after it becomes available, so recovery should be planned before the flight lands.

If your own carrier is collecting, we share the details they need to recover the cargo.

How a request works

  1. Step 1

    Send the details

Use the quote form: origin and destination, the cargo, its pieces with dimensions and weight, and the date it is ready.

  2. Step 2

    Get a reference

You get a written reference number as soon as the request is in.

  3. Step 3

    A coordinator reviews it

A coordinator reviews every request. Response time: Business hours: within 30 minutes · After hours: within 60 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Choose an option

We share the options available for your cargo and dates, with what each one includes, and set up the shipment you choose.

What to send us

  • Origin and destination: airports, or full addresses if you need pickup or delivery
  • Number of pieces, and whether they are loose cartons, crates or pallets
  • Length, width, height and weight of each piece
  • What the cargo is, and whether it is high-value
  • The date the cargo is ready, and any delivery deadline
  • Loading details: dock or liftgate, appointments, receiving hours

Air freight is priced on chargeable weight, so dimensions matter as much as weight.

Dangerous goods

Some cargo is regulated as dangerous goods in air transport. The quote form asks whether your shipment contains any of these:

  • Lithium or sodium batteries (alone, installed, or packed with equipment)
  • Fuel, aerosols, compressed gas, or chemicals
  • Magnetized material
  • Dry ice

Any yes, or "Not sure", sends the request to a coordinator for review before we confirm options. Undeclared dangerous goods can be refused or delayed.
